It is certainly typical of knowledge, that one can profit from it. This profit may be of various nature:
1. Musical knowledge can impart practical wisdom of life to the understanding and thus give our confident action sure success.
2. Musical knowledge can encourage the feeling, can increase the alertness on the level of feeling and thus refine the process of feeling.
Thereby
our emotional life becomes more and more aware of the energies inherent in
it.
This increase of energy in the field of our feeling we experience as happiness.
So far, this increase of happiness is not considered part of the field of cognition, but still it is the result of a cognitive process on the level of our feeling. Nevertheless, most of us strive for happiness, and not without good reason are the wise considered happy.
3. Musical knowledge can bring stability to man in his entire thought and action from the depth of his feeling and understanding, because feeling and understanding together go through the musical process of knowing and are both placed into the state of supreme cognitive potential.
